Is it worth the price?
We do not price cars.
These help you judge whether this one is worth its price.
One costly part on this year has enough owner reports to show the miles where it most often fails. The odometer check under the verdict tells whether your miles have reached them.

What one owner wrote about the transmission and drivetrain
10r140 paired with 6.7 powerstroke in a 2020 f250 build date 11/19 at the Kentucky plant. My truck specs and build date and location is in the timeframe of the planetary gear recall, ford has also issued tsb’s about the cdf bushing that should have been a recall because it is a design flaw on every 2020 to 2022 model truck. It’s not fair that we should have to…

The bar holds the middle half of the complaints that gave a mileage; the dark mark is the middle one. 106 complaints of 255 gave one. Owners file when something fails, so this shows when problems were reported, not how long the cars last. These cars are young, so problems at higher miles have not had time to show.

Half of these 35 complaints came between about 60,000 and 105,000 miles, the middle one around 80,000.

Costly parts complaints against a typical F-250 year
High mileage verdict
Not judged
Too young to judge at high mileage. Most 2020 cars have not reached 100,000 miles yet, so their problems past it have not shown up.
How this verdict was counted
Year verdict: Typical year, costly parts: 32 complaints, the middle count of 6 nearby years, leaving out 2017 and 2019, which were high themselves. Each counted over its first 7 years and 10 months from January 2019; this one had 104. All complaints, for reference: a typical year had 148 by then, and this one 255.

3.3× the costly parts complaints of a typical F-250 year
104 costly parts complaints in its first 7 years, against 32 for a typical F-250 year.
More complaints about costly parts, such as the engine or transmission, than usual. Buy only with records and an inspection.
Not every car needs every fix. Run the VIN at NHTSA to see which are still open. Repairs are usually free at a dealer for the brand; ask before any work.

Aug 28, 2019 · Recall 19V633000
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018 to 2020 F-150 and 2019 to 2020 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty pickup trucks, and 2018 to 2019 Ford Explorer, 2019 to 2020 Expedition, and 2020 Escape vehicles equipped with driver and/or passenger's manual front seat back recliner mechanisms. Also included are certain 2020 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles equipped with rear outboard seats and manual seat back recliner mechanisms. The recliner mechanisms may be missing the third pawl required for seat back strength, resulting in a loose seat back. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 202, "Head Restraints" and 207, "Seating Systems."
What can happen
A seat back with an improperly assembled recliner mechanism may have reduced strength and may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Ford will notify owners, and Ford and Lincoln dealers will inspect the seat structure and replace them, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began October 21, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19C07.
Our take: Maybe. Buy one only with service records and an inspection.Owners filed 3.3 times the usual complaints about costly parts such as the engine or transmission.
Run the VIN at NHTSA to confirm every recall was fixed.
This year has 1 recall on file. Recall repairs are usually free at a dealer for the brand. Ask the dealer to confirm before any work is done. Look up a VIN at NHTSA.
Ask the seller for the service records.
Look closely for any work on the transmission and drivetrain. It is the part owners complain about most for this year.
Have a mechanic you trust inspect it before you pay.
Ask them to look hard at the transmission and drivetrain. It is usually costly to fix.
Look at a vehicle history report.
It can show reported crashes, flood or salvage titles, and mileage that does not add up.
On the test drive, pay attention to the transmission and drivetrain.
Feel for slipping, hesitation, harsh or late shifts, and shudder at low speed.
